The Chelsea fixtures that have been moved for TV coverage in December and January

The wait is over. Chelsea fans can finally start planning their Christmas after the dates and kick-off times for the festive season, plus the rest of December and January, have been released.

The Premier League had planned to announce the fixtures last Friday but there had been delays because of logistical problems concerning policing, transport and, for the first time, three domestic broadcasters having rights to games.

Amazon Prime will show two full sets of fixtures including the Boxing Day games - and Leciester City and Liverpool supporters are understandably angry to have landed the 8pm slot.

Chelsea fans have gotten off comparatively lightly with their away fixtures either side of Christmas in north London.

On Sunday December 22 the Blues will visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time, kicking off at 4.30pm, and the trip to Arsenal will now be played on Sunday December 29.

In between the home against Southampton will remain a 3pm kick-off on Boxing Day.

The New Year's Day trip to Brighton & Hove Albion has been moved to a 12.30pm kick off, meaning plenty of sore heads travelling to the south coast.
