The cheapest places to fly from Leeds Bradford Airport on May Bank Holiday weekends

Hundreds of flights fly out from Leeds Bradford Airport every day, taking people on city breaks or resort holidays to relax- and more often than not there are a few cheap options to some beautiful underrated gems all across Europe.

And it's no secret that flights from LBA jump up in price massively around school holidays and bank holidays. But that doesn't mean there aren't some good offers that are up for grabs around next months three bank holiday weekends.

So we have rounded up some of the best deals, all under £100, that are available for you to book on each of May bank holiday weekends. According to SkyScanner, these are the cheapest places to book flights for a quick getaway from Saturday through until Monday.

Saturday, May 29- Monday, May 1

Dublin, Ireland from £33

Dublin is the cheapest place to fly to on all of the May bank holidays, coming it at the low price of £33. Known for the bustling nightlife on the famous Temple Bar, a quick trip to Ireland can be the perfect place to let off some steam and have a proper pint of guinness.

And if the nightlife isn't for you, there is plenty going on during the day as well, from talented buskers. to fascinating historical tours and museums and plenty of beautiful scenery to take in.

Gothenburg, Sweden from £74

When you think of Sweden, Gothenburg may not be the first place to come to mind. But the second biggest city in the country has everything a vibrant city needs to keep you busy for a weekend.

From coffee shops to trendy nightclubs and gorgeous architecture, museums and an amusement park, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Not only is there plenty to do in this European city, it has also been named as one of the greenest cities in the world, boasting wind-powered hotels, apartments and more.

Located on the Odra River, this beautiful Polish city is a delight for any lovers of Gothic architecture, riverside parks and bridges. And with flights from £82 over the bank holiday weekend, it can be the ideal place for a cultural getaway.

As well as boasting beautiful scenery, it is full of life, with several theatres to enjoy, major festivals taking place there and a huge nightlife culture.

Ibiza is often associated with partying - and if you were hoping for sun so you can sit in a beer garden all weekend, why not hop on a plane for some guaranteed sun and a drink?

However, partying is not the only thing on offer on the beautiful Balearic island. There are hikes offering stunning views across the island, idyllic beaches to relax on, lost caves to explore and plenty of historical areas and museums to look around.

Stockholm is a picturesque place for a weekend away. Full to the brim with history, the city is one of the most accessible places for wheelchair travel and public transport is safe and efficient, meaning it is easy to make the most of a few days there.

There are quaint cobbled streets, a royal palace, gabled buildings and museums showcasing everything from Viking treasure to Abba props and costumes to explore. And there are plenty of places to stop for some unique food and drinks throughout the day.

County Kerry is only a short flight away and with flights only £66 for the bank holiday weekend you would be foolish to miss out on exploring this fairytale county. With rolling hills, dramatic crashing waves and charming villages full of quaint pubs and brightly painted houses, it feels like you have stepping into the pages of a storybook.

There is plenty to do, from exploring the Killarney National Park to taking in the views at the The Ring of Kerry or one of the other stunning coastal spots. And you can end a long day of exploring having a pint in the local pub, surrounded by culture and music.

Oslo, Norway from £82

If you are an art love, then Oslo is the place for you as it boasts two of the biggest art museums in Europe, MUNCH and the National Museum. And it's not just art this city has to look at, it is surrounded by mountains and sea and is one of the fastest growing, greenest urban cities.

There are also plenty of museums to explore over a long weekend and also a booming late-night culture, with natural wine bars or music venues hosting indie bands or local DJ's. With flights from £82, you don't want to miss the chance to have some fun here.

Frankfurt, Germany from £86

With skyscrapers lining the streets of this German city, it may not be your first choice of getaway destination. But, despite being a finance and business hub, Frankfurt am Main is a traditional and charming city with a quaint medieval old town to explore, as well as apple-wine taverns, outdoor cafes, street art and loads of regional food to taste.

There are also plenty of museums to spend your days walking around, as well as parks and riverside paths. The nightlife isn't so bad either, with a large student population ensuring that the city is alive at all hours.

Saturday, May 27- Monday, May 29

Full of quirky corners and hidden away little gems, Edinburgh is a charming city to visit for a long weekend. Not only is it one Europe's most beautiful cities, it has loads of historical monuments to explore and is also believed to be the home of the tartan revival in the 1800s.

So you can take a hike up to Arthur's Seat, take a walk around the grounds of the castle or take a look at the quirky shops and bars in the Old Town over the bank holiday weekend. Having said that, flying such a short haul domestic flight isn't great for the environment, so that's a factor against it.

Brussels, Belgium from £75

Brussels is known for its good food, good beer, waffles, chocs and for being the home of the EU. Anyone visiting this European capital will know that they have to check out the traditional street food, but there is so much more to explore, from boujee shopping centres to hip breweries and coffee shops.

The relaxed city also offers plenty of unique museums to wander around and streets full of eye-catching graffiti artwork. There is more than enough to fill a long weekend up with, and with flights from £75 it could be the ideal city to spend the last bank holiday in May.

Bordeaux is a stunning 18th-century city that boasts the title of world's largest urban World Heritage Site. Full of beautiful palaces, hidden mansions and vineyards producing delicious wine, Bordeaux is a breathtaking place to spend a long weekend.

When you're done exploring vineyards on foot or on bike or learning about the historic city known as the 'Port of the Moon', you can relax by the River Garonne in a peaceful and serene setting.

Copenhagen, Denmark from £84

Copenhagen is a bit of an underrated city when it comes to holiday destinations. But the capital of Denmark is the ideal place to go if you are wanting to immerse yourself in some 'cool' culture.

Full of beautiful traditional streets as well as modern creative architecture, the city is continuously growing as an urban hub. And there is plenty to do, from floating on the canals in a hot tub or wandering around the Rosenborg Castle or the bustling gardens throughout the city, you will not be bored over the long weekend here.
