The cheapest - and most expensive - houses sold in Greater Manchester in March

The most expensive property sold in March in Greater Manchester went for an eye-watering £2.6m. 

The huge detached house was in the leafy suburb of Hale in Altrincham - where properties frequently feature as the most expensive in the region. 

Other areas are becoming more popular for the higher end of the property market, with some of the most pricey properties sold in areas of  Stockport ,  Sale  and  Urmston . 

At the other end of the scale, the least expensive house sold in March was just £30,000.

The most expensive sale in March in the UK was a detached property in Camden - which went for a whopping £38,500,000.  

This is 14 times more than the most expensive house sold in Greater Manchester. 

The cheapest residential sale was of a terraced property in Ferryhill, County Durham for £17,250.
