The cheap 'miracle' oven cleaning product that scrubs off stains and grease

One area that everybody dreads to clean in the kitchen has to be the oven doors - as they are sticklers for grime and grease.

Not only can these stubborn stains cloud up the door, but they are made up of old food cooked, which is not what you want when cooking a different meal. The Daily Record reports that while cleaning the oven door is a boring and tedious task, it has to be done to improve its efficiency.

Mrs Hinch, the queen of keeping things clean, has lots of dedicated fans who all share their methods for tidying up basically anything at all. And now, one person has asked for advice on the cleaning guru's Facebook page, simply stating: "How do I clean my oven door?”.

And then came the influx of brilliant advice from Mrs Hinch fans all around the UK. Of all answers, the most popular was to use a wet dishwasher tablet.

The tablets were even dubbed as a "miracle" product when cleaning ovens. One Facebook user wrote: "After years of using strong chemical cleaners to clean my oven door I was suggested to use a dishwasher tablet and it has changed my life.

“I am amazed that all it takes to remove stubborn stains from my oven is a regular dishwasher tablet. It’s honestly a miracle cleaner, you have to try it.

“All you have to do is wet a dishwasher tablet and use it to lightly scrub the glass. Make sure to keep dipping the tablet in water to keep it moist so it doesn’t scratch the glass.”

As the tablets are made of concentrated dishwasher detergent, they promise to cut through tough stains and leave dishes sparkling - or oven doors! They are also cheap, as a pack of 30 from Asda are just £3 - meaning each tablet works out at ten pence each.

Another Facebook user agreed, saying: "Yes, I totally agree! It gets the job done so well and its so cheap. A box of dishwasher tablets lasts me ages.”

Someone else wrote: "Wet a dishwasher tablet and rub it all over and wipe with wet cloth.”

And another advised: "Cheap dishwasher tablet and use like a pumice stone - it’s a 10 minute job.”

More explained: "Wet a dishwasher tablet, rub on oven door and it takes all the little burnt bits off.”

And finally, one concluded: "Scouring can damage the integrity of the glass so instead use a wet dishwasher tablet. It works a treat.”
