The Chase viewers left stunned by 'dashing' celebrity lookalike contestant

The Chase viewers were left swooning over a "dashing" contestant who looked exactly like a famous reality star.

The first episode of the new series went down a treat with viewers on Monday after filming was halted in March due to the pandemic.

Contestant Tom, who flexed his general knowledge against Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, had viewers swooning with his good looks.

Sporting a daring purple shirt, the handsome player distracted audiences across the UK as many claimed he was the spitting image of a popular reality TV star, The Mirror reports.

Eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Tom, comparing him to a much-loved member of the Celebs Go Dating family.

Fans of The Chase were left convinced that dashing Tom was in fact related to self-confessed ‘posho’, Tom Read Wilson.

“He’s the spitting image of Tom from Celebs Go Dating, and even talks like him! They must be related!” One wrote.

“Oh, wow he’s such a hottie. Kind of like that posh chap from Celebs Go Dating too!” a second shared.

While a fourth quipped: “I know I’m a man and I’m straight, but I’d reconsider for this dude. He’s gorgeous!”.

It didn’t stop there as others gushed over the contestant’s bold style choices.

“I’d definitely let Tom chase me around the place, and especially in that shirt,” joked a naughty viewer.

While a second gushed: “Tom is my dream man. He’s all the more attractive because of that shirt!”.

Tom not only demanded the attention from his fans at home, but also The Chasers.

His competitor The Beast was left mesmerized by his daring purple shirt and his exquisite knowledge.

“That shirt could be a huge distraction for me” the ITV star quipped before the game kicked off.
