Fans of The Chase were left shocked this week when one contestant revealed his real age.
Viewers tuning into Tuesday's episode of the ITV gameshow thought that player Joseph was in his early twenties, but they were sorely mistaken.
Joseph, from Liverpool and sporting a very healthy-looking head of hair, joined fellow contestants Dave, Gabrielle, and Mary in trying to win thousands of pounds.
But fans were less interested in the questions being asked, and more into finding out Joseph's birth year.
While many thought musician Joseph was in his twenties, he actually confirmed to host Bradley Walsh that he is 41-years-old.
Shocked by the discovery, viewers took to Twitter to express their opinion on Joseph's real age.
One viewer questioned: “Wait a minute. Joseph is 41? I guess he was in his early twenties.”
Someone else tweeted: “There’s no way Joseph is 41. He looks like he’s about 25."
Another person added: "I want whatever moisturiser Joseph is using because looks so young."
It seems Joseph's extra years of wisdom paid off as he scored £5,000 in the cash builder.
He then faced a one-question shootout with Mark Labbett in the head-to-head, but successfully made it through to the final, where he won a total of £11,000.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
