The Chase stars cringe as Bradley Walsh mocks Paul Sinha with bizarre impression

The Chase stars were shocked by host Bradley Walsh's cruel impression of a James Bond character, aimed at Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha, who is 5ft8.

Bradley twice did an impression of a James bond character who is played by a short actor, while Paul simply looked on blankly, refusing to react.

"Will it be the Sinnerman?" he asked, when the players were about to find out who they were playing.

"You can see him on The Chase, on comedy shows, and at the start of re-runs of Fantasy Island shouting, 'The plane, boss, the plane!'."

This was a reference to James Bond character Tattoo, who was played by pint-sized actor Hervé Villechaize.

When the players found out they would indeed be playing against Paul, Bradley dropped to his knees and impersonated the character again.

"Boss the plane, the plane boss, the plane!"

Paul looked unimpressed by Bradley's mean joke, though the other players fell about laughing at the cheeky dig.

Ian looked like he was trying to contain his giggles as Bradley directed his impression at him.

But Bradley then told Paul: The Sinnerman! I don't write them!" alluding to the mean jokes he makes about each chase before they come on.

"I'm fine, little bit jet lagged from the flight back from Fantasy Island," he joked.

Meanwhile, viewers could not hold back their fury at contestant Ian's "annoying habit".

Ian, who used to be a drummer in a punk band, was answering questions shot at him by host Bradley Walsh.

But he was incredibly slow to answer, particularly compared to his team mates, and viewers could not bear to watch.

The seconds ticked on as Ian considered each question thoughtfully before asking, with his teammates looking visibly stressed behind him.

Bradley even very diplomatically referred to him as a "very deliberate player".

One fan tweeted: "He had a slow time wasting cash builder and had poor knowledge.. Laters. #thechase ".

"In other words Ian - ‘you’re too f**king slow!’..... #TheChase " added another.

"Deliberate player = slow b*****d #thechase " joked a third.
