The Chase star Paul Sinha coming to Leeds for special event

The Chase star Paul Sinha is coming to Leeds for a special event at the city’s summer beach.

City Beach, which is coming to The Light, will host the fun on Saturday, July 30. Comedy and Cocktails on the Beach will feature four stand up comedians with the event raising money for Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

As fans of ITV quiz show The Chase might know, Paul Sinha, 52, known on the programme as The Sinnerman to quizzers, is also a touring comedian. He will be appearing at the Leeds event alongside Chortle Award Winner Justin Moorhouse, Huddersfield -born story-telling comedian Andy Mitchell, and BBC New Comedian of the Year 2021 winner Anna Thomas.

The fun will be hosted by DJ Dixie from Heart FM. It will see 50 per cent of the money raised donated to the good cause.

Stephanie James, marketing manager at The Light, said: “We are really looking forward to launching our Comedy and Cocktails on the Beach event this summer. It will be a jam-packed afternoon full of laughter and delicious food – it’s definitely not one to miss. We’re thrilled to be able to give back to the local community with the decision to donate proceedings to Leeds Teaching Hospitals.

“This event is just one of the activities we have planned for our City Beach this year, which will be available from July 23 until September 4 following its great success in previous years. Be sure to come see us on Cookridge Street.”

Tickets

The fun will be running between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, July 30. Tickets cost £20 which includes a cocktail or mocktail. On the day, Caribbean street food will be available from Twisted Kitchen.
