The Chase star Jenny Ryan shares disappointing news

The Chase star Jenny Ryan has been flooded with support after sharing 'disappointing' news.

The TV quizzer from Bolton took to Twitter to tell her fans that she would no longer be performing in pantomime this year as planned.

But she has vowed that she will be back the following year.

The news prompted her fellow Chaser Anne Hegerty to reply: "Hard disapprove."

Jenny, sharing a photo of herself in panto 'in happier times' wrote: "Some disappointing info for those of you hoping to see me in panto this year - unfortunately the production I was due to appear in has been postponed.

"Throwback photo of me in happier panto times. Hopefully I'll be back to fairy tale villainy in 2022!"

Fans of Jenny, who is nicknamed The Vixen on the popular quiz show, expressed their disappointment.

One replied to Jenny: "Such disappointing news for you."

"That’s a shame Jenny. Love you on the chase xx" said another.

"Booo" tweeted another.

"That’s a shame. Next year you’ll be back with a bang in the world of panto that’s for sure."

Jenny was set to appear on stage as part of The Wizard of Oz Spectacular touring the UK, starring The One Show and Our Farm in the Dales star Matt Baker as Wizard and Jenny as the good witch Glinda.
