Anne Hegerty has revealed that she nearly got cut from ITV show The Chase after swearing at a Twitter troll.
The quiz expert, aka The Governess, spoke on Lorraine today about how her potty mouth - or in this case, fingers - got her into deep trouble with the bosses at ITV.
So much so that the 60-year-old was threatened with suspension from the show if she didn’t take the four-letter expletive down.
She told Christine Lampard, who is filling in for Lorraine Kelly: “I have been known to get into trouble for that.

“I mean I tweeted a tweet last month - it got 25,000 likes before ITV ordered me to take it down and threatened me with suspension.
"I was like, 'Ok, fine!' So I took it down."
She said that sometimes you "don't always know what's appropriate or what people will find appropriate".
Anne added: "One is not trying to upset the source of one's bread and butter."

The TV star, from Manchester, gained a huge following after appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! In 2018.

Replying to a troll who said that her former campmate Emily Atack was “not pretty enough” to play Debbie Harry in a new Sky Arts show, she said: “What a sad c*** you are, Steve.”

During her time on the ITV reality show, Anne spoke candidly about having Asperger's syndrome, for which she didn’t receive a diagnosis until she was 45.

On the show she explained to Rita Simons that she is happy to speak about it, but never raises it herself.

She said: "I didn't raise the autism issue. It's not like: 'I want you to know I have this interesting disability that you have to accommodate'.
"If someone else raises it then I make it quite clear that I'm happy to talk about it."
Lorraine airs weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
