A Scottish teenager on The Chase left host Bradley Walsh and viewers at home more than impressed following a stellar performance on the new series.
The show returned to our screens on Tuesday afternoon and one of the contestants, 19-year-old Victoria, from Fife, certainly followed through after her comment about being a fan of maths and physics.
The civil engineering student also delighted Bradley Walsh as he admitted he loves having young contestants appearing on the ITV gameshow, reports the Record.

Victoria admitted to being a bit of a "nerd" and told everyone that when she wasn't studying or going out she is likely playing the trombone. Bradley Walsh then asked: "Are you any good?" To which Victoria replied: "I used to play in a brass band and I'm hoping to join one at uni soon, but I have played in quite a few years actually."
After being asked what she would spent her winnings on, Victoria said the hopes to travel across Europe and it wasn't long until that prospect looked more and more likely. During the cashbuilder round she scooped a promising £5,000 for the team.
Victoria then had to get the cogs turning as she came up against experienced quizzer Shaun Wallace, also known as The Dark Destroyer. During her face-off with the telly brainbox, host Bradley read out question that was very close to home for Victoria.
She was asked a rather fortunate question regarding the Forth Rail Bridge and after answering how many rivets the historic crossing has correctly, she secured her place in the final chase.
Two other contestants also avoided being reeled in by the Chaser, with Pam and Nathan outfoxing Shaun and joining Victoria in the crucial third round. They managed to bank £19,000 and answered 16 questions correctly in the final chase. But Shaun was hot on his heels, and the quiz boffin caught Nathan with 17 seconds remaining.
Despite her leaving with empty handed, those watching at home were impressed by Victoria's knowledge at such a young age. One tweeted: "This girl is great for being so young #thechase"
Another added: "Impressive start for this young girl from fife #thechase" While a third penned: "#thechase 19 and bossing it"
