The Chase's Vixen says Piers Morgan quitting GMB is a 'blessed relief'

The Chase's Jenny Ryan has responded to the drama over Piers Morgan quitting Good Morning Britain by describing it as 'blessed relief.'

ITV revealed in a very brief statement on Tuesday evening that Piers had decided to leave the daytime show, with him then going onto Twitter later in the night to post a picture of his late manager John Ferriter and his attitude to always 'trust your gut.'

His exit came hours after he stormed off GMB following a clash with colleague Alex Beresford over Meghan Markle.

Late on Tuesday, Piers broke his silence on the social media storm surrounding his walk out with a tribute to his late manager John Ferriter and his attitude to always 'trust your gut.'

Since then he has remained unapologetic on his stance on Meghan, tweeting: "On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview. I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK.

"Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions."

His GMB co-stars Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway have now addressed his departure on air, while Alex made a statement about Piers on Twitter, saying him quitting wasn't the outcome he 'was hoping for.'

Someone else who's had their say and clearly isn't a Piers fan is Chaser The Vixen, who took to Twitter in the wake of his announcement to post: "I'd run out of excuses as to why I could only appear on GMB during the holidays, so this is a blessed relief."

And then, after one of her followers replied: "I've enjoyed Piers making examples out of incompetent politicians but he's overstepped the mark this time. Trying to defend the indefensible," Jenny responded: "A stopped clock is right twice a day!"

Another fan reacted: "I agree.. I can have my coffee in peace now.. Yes opinions are very important but it seemed only HIS was! He wouldn't let anyone else have a word in! So never a healthy debate.. Best thing of 2021 so far."

A third told Jenny: "You'd have been totally vindicated if you'd have just said "I ain't appearing whilst that t**t is hosting" Jenny."

However, others defended Piers, with one ranting: "I didn’t realise you was so in demand," and, also having a go, another commented: "Oh @jenlion you are saying you wouldn’t go on the show because you didn’t like piers? Get a grip seriously all these people slagging him now are the ones that brand #bekind about what a hypocrite."
