The Chase's Shaun Wallace shaken by rare buzzer mistake

Shaun Wallace made a rare mistake with his buzzer during today's head-to-head on The Chase.

Contestants Alistair, Mari, Libby and John teamed up in the hope they could take on The Dark Destroyer.

Following Libby's departure, John was was the last player to compete in the head-to-head round.

John and Shaun were asked: 'The source of which of these rivers is located in the Himalayas?"

Whilst pondering the answer, Shaun accidentally timed out - forgetting to press his buzzer.

Shaun told host Bradley Walsh: "That's the first time in 10 years I've done that."

Sharing the clip on Facebook, The Chase's admin said: "Reminder that Shaun was one of the two original Chasers back in 2009 and has NEVER made this mistake before.

"Although John also got it wrong, but is this slip up a sign that Shaun is a little shaken?"

Fans also took to Twitter to discuss the error.

Jason said: "I've never seen a Chaser run out of time."

A second tweeted: "Okay, who's in the Chaser's seat, and what have they done with Shaun Wallace?"
