The Chase's Paul Sinha accuses contestant of 'playing a game' after 'lucky' £50k win

The Chase's Paul Sinha hit out at an incredibly lucky contestant, accusing them of "playing a game" and bluffing after being able to bag £50,000 for the team pot.

Ryan answered just two questions correctly, however decided to go for the £50k offer.

He went on to answer four questions correctly - despite claiming that they were all complete guesses.

At one point, Paul banged his head on the table after realising that Ryan got yet another question correct even though it was a complete guess.

After winning a place in the Final Chase, host Bradley Walsh implored him to "get yourself a lottery ticket".

Meanwhile Paul admitted that he had "no idea what happened".

Paul said: "Well those weren't easy questions but Ryan made them look simple... the guy knows how to bluff us.

"He's going to be a danger in that Final Chase because his knowledge of chemical reactions and British postcodes and geometry is second to none.

"He breezed through some very difficult questions - I don't know what to expect. I think you might be playing a game Ryan!"

However Bradley reckoned he wasn't playing a game as he walked over to fellow team member Richard.

The pair went into the Final Chase to play for £56,000 but struggled with the questions and only managed 14 steps.

Paul managed to catch them with 47 seconds remaining, prompting the Chaser to quip: "So we do know now that Ryan wasn't bluffing and he isn't the world's greatest quizzer!"
