The Chase's Mark 'The Beast' Labbett shows off his epic weight loss

Star of The Chase Mark Labbett - known as The Beast thanks to his huge frame - has taken to social media to showcase his epic weight loss.

The Devon-born TV quiz star, 55, has dropped five stone since embarking on a weight loss plan after a diabetes scare in 2017.

In the caption, he plugged the MuscleFood Goal Getters plan, which he said helped him lose the weight, reports The Mirror.

His Instagram followers rushed to compliment his weight loss in the comments, with one writing: "You are looking good, well done."

"Well done Mark. Keep going!" another posted, adding the heart eyes emoji.

A third agreed: "You're looking great Mark and doing so well."

Mark was given a warning about his weight by doctors as he tipped the scales at 27st.

He has since managed to get his weight below 23st and hopes to drop even further to below 20st and to take his BMI level to less than 30.

At the start of his weight loss journey Mark told ITV's Loose Women: "“Those who've got diabetes know there's actually several indicators.

"They check for cholesterol, blood sugar, weight is one of them.

“And my indicators are all quite comfortably in the yellow zone with one big one in the red zone: my BMI."

He lost six inches of belly fat in the first six months of his regime.
