Mark Labbett is set to 'crack America' after signing a six-figure deal to be the head Chaser on the US version of hit show, The Chase.
The 55-year-old star, who is known as 'The Beast' on the ITV show, was introduced to viewers in the United States after a teaser ad for the show was released, with American network ABC signing up Mark.
The quiz master is said to have a top agent representing him in Los Angeles, with thoughts of other lucrative TV deals and even a shot of Hollywood, if it all goes well.
Mark, who is Oxford educated and boasts an IQ of 151, is thought to be living in America ahead of his TV debut across the Atlantic.
A source told The Sun : "Mark secretly relocated to LA last month - and has been having the time of his life.
"ABC poached him earlier this year because they felt the current Chaser panel was missing a bit of spark."
Mark was offered the opportunity to join the Chasers after taking a screen test, with the source saying he "polled incredibly well with US audiences."
The source added that Mark "could become one of the biggest UK exports in recent times."
It is believed that Mark will continued with ITV's Bradley Walsh hosted version of The Chase, with the channel reportedly giving their blessing for him to go on his American adventure.
Ahead of his move to the States, 6ft 6in Mark, has lost an impressive 10 stone in weight, after previously tipping the scales at almost 29 stone.
He became a regular at the gym and is now a slimline 19 stone.
A source told The Sun: "Angelenos are famously health and weight obsessed.
"But TV execs reckon Mark has a real Clark Kent look about him - and he will be a real hit with the ladies."
