The Chase's Mark Labbett left unhappy as he recognises contestant

The Chase's Mark Labbett was left seemingly unhappy after he recognised one of the contestants.

Sophie, Tony, Ben and James were welcomed to the show, and Mark quickly clocked something about the second player, Ben.

But The Beast cut in before he even managed to introduce himself to host Bradley Walsh, reports Liverpool Echo.

Mark wasn't happy to see Ben on the panel (ITV)

He said: "Get your sombrero out, next up we've got Ben the bandit."

A confused Bradley then asked what he meant, to which he added: "He's got form with national quizzes."

Fellow contestant Sophie was shocked, saying: "He knows you, Ben."

Ben then revealed he's a big fan of quizzes and has appeared on a couple of different game shows before on TV.

His quizzing experience then paid off, as he built up an impressive £9,000 in the cash builder.

Mark then joked: "That was rubbish. You got two wrong!"

Amazed viewers then took to Twitter, with one saying: "Ooh the beast didn’t sound pleased that Ben the bandit was there."

Another wrote: "Mark is so easily intimidated by a good contestant."

"Ben The Bandit. Actually dead" said a third.

Despite the team scoring 22 in the final round, The Beast still managed to beat them with six seconds to spare.

The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
