The Chase's Jenny Ryan left viewers in shock after dealing one contestant a 'harsh' offer.
Four new players were welcomed to the show in a bid to take on the Chaser and walk home with some cash.
Up against The Vixen on Thursday's show were Keith, Michelle, Nathan and Amy.
After the first contestant was knocked out, Michelle pulled it back with a £5,000 win.
Nathan, who also scored £5,000 in the cash builder, stunned viewers at home after winning the offer of £55,000.
Up last to face the Chaser was Amy, who only scored £2,000 in the cash builder.
But fans were gobsmacked when The Vixen gave Amy a tricky ultimatum - either a high offer of £60,000 or a low offer of minus £15,000.
One viewer tweeted: "-15 is ridiculous #TheChase."
Another said: "Minus £15,000?!?!?! #TheChase."
"-£15,000 The chaser has really set Amy up #TheChase," commented another.
"Minus 15 for a player who struggled to get 2000 quid is a bit harsh," said a fourth.
And another added: "Fair play to Amy for not taking the easier option with the minus."
Amy opted to stick with £2,000, which host Bradley Walsh called a 'bad move'.
She was knocked out in the head-to-head with Jenny, and went home with nothing.
The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
