The Chase's Jenny Ryan explains truth behind feud claims after 'dirty looks' on show

The Chase star Jenny Ryan has denied claims of a feud between the Chasers, while admitted things could get a little tense.

Jenny and her co-stars appear in a new version of the hit ITV show, Beat The Chasers, which sees the full team go up against contestants.

Normally just one of them faces the four contestants during the daytime version, but the newer series sees quizzers battle against Jenny and co-Chasers Shaun Wallace, Paul Sinha, Mark Labbett and Anne Hegerty.

As things kicked off with host Bradley Walsh on Monday night, fans thought they had noticed tension between the cast.

One moment that left people taking to Twitter was when Paul appeared to give Jenny a "dirty look".

Now, Jenny has responded and revealed what was really going on - clearing up feud claims.

Speaking on This Morning on Tuesday to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Jenny explained all.

She said: "It's a tricky situation. People were actually commenting on the show last night that one of the other Chasers gave me a dirty look. What they class to be a dirty look cos I got a question wrong."

She went on: "Actually it's more about who is gonna sacrifice and guess on a question when nobody seems to know the answer.

"We're trying to read each other's minds and we just want to operate as efficiently as we can as a team.

"Sometimes we get in each other's way which is when it does get a little bit..."

Jenny added: "There is a bit of a postmortem when that happens!"

On the new show on Monday viewers and the Chasers were stunned to see one contestant take a huge gamble.

Bernie took on all five famous Chasers and attempted to take home £90,000.

Unfortunately he ran out of time and lost the big money.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
