The Chase's Bradley Walsh taken aback as he spots 'spooky' connection with player

Bradley Walsh was taken aback as he recognised a "spooky" connection with a player on The Chase.

The 62-year-old presenter welcomed four new quizzers on Wednesday's edition of the popular ITV programme. Duncan, Hayley, Zahan and Kate were testing their wits against Mark Labbett on the latest programme.

Duncan was up in seat one and Bradley was eager to hear about the player's roots when he discovered they were both from Essex. Duncan said: "I'm from Abridge, you may know it."

Bradley was wowed as he revealed they are both from the same village in the county. He said: "I lived there for 15 years. That's spooky."

Duncan put in an impressive performance in the cash builder as he accrued £9,000. The 42-year-old proceeded to put in a superb performance in the head to head to book his spot in the Final Chase.

He was joined by Hayley and Kate in the last round of today's show. The team were competing for £14,200 and built up 14 steps.

The players left empty-handed after The Beast caught them with just eight seconds remaining.
