The Chase's Bradley Walsh stunned as contestant hilariously storms off set

Presenter Bradley Walsh was left stunned when a contestant stormed off set after accepting a lower offer during an episode of The Chase.

Contestant Thora, had won a whopping £4,000 in the cash builder after beating The Vixen Jenny Ryan.

Surprisingly, however, she opted to accept the lower offer which had been slashed to just a quarter of the winning amount.

The elderly contestant would be leaving with just £1,000.

As Bradley, 59, turned to congratulate her, Thora had other ideas, cutting the presenter off mid-sentence and marching off camera.

Despite the awkward on-screen moment, Thora’s team managed to scrape through to the final but were eventually beaten by the Vixen for the prize of £15,000.

Fans were torn on Thora’s hilarious walk off set.

“LOVE thora from the chase, best contestant ever @ITV #thechase,” said one viewer.

“I don’t care if she took the lower offer, Thora’s f***ing awesome #TheChase” another Twitter user exclaimed.

On quite a more extreme note, one viewer really connected with Thora: “I’ve only known Thora for 40mins but if anything happened to her I would kill everyone in the room and then myself #TheChase.”

“Well done to everyone except Thora, who had a lovely nap #thechase,” one Twitter user took a more frustrated tone.

There’s been several twists and turns in the hit ITV show, which first aired almost 11 years ago.

In that time the popular programme has even landed several prestigious awards and won an NTA gong for the Best Quiz Show and Best Daytime Programme.

In a surprise moment from yesterday’s episode, presenter Bradley actually bypassed the usual rules when a contestant was left struggling to decide what to do when faced up against The Sinnerman Paul Sinha.

The host shouted off screen to consult with contestants that had already been eliminated, in a move that has never been done before.

Fans also love when contestants actually manage to beat The Chasers, and there have also been some life changing wins on the show. Last year a contestant from Cambridgeshire took home a cool £70,000 and answered 20 questions correctly.
