The Chase's Bradley Walsh slams 'dull' contestant for being a 'vortex of boredom'

Bradley Walsh despaired on ITV quiz show, The Chase, on Monday evening.

The host slammed a contestant, labelling him a "vortex of boredom" after they revealed their job and hobbies.

Bradley squirmed and grimaced as Ross shared some details of his life, and the host feared that viewers would be 'bored' by what they were hearing.

The contestant, Ross, introduced himself as an insurance consultant based in Cheltenham, to which Bradley replied with disdain: "Boring!"

Bradley then asked Ross what he does in his spare time, to which he replied: "Tudor history documentaries."

This sent Bradley into a spiral of despair, as he spluttered: "What! It gets worse!"

The Chase host grimaced as he processed this information, as viewers took to Twitter to say that his reaction to Ross was "rude".

Bradley then implored: "What else do you do, liven it up a bit."

Ross said: "I like doing impressions," which Bradley replied with incredulity: "Really?"

He then urged Ross: "You do it and I'll guess it."

Ross then pulled out a reasonable impersonation of muppet Kermit the Frog, to which Bradley jokingly guessed: " Boris Johnson."

The chat turned to what else Ross did in his spare time and Bradley was pleased to see it was "getting better" with five-a-side football, saying: "We dipped in the beginning but now we are climbing back up."

"Come on son, keep going," Bradley urged as Ross revealed golf and a desire for a road trip to America.

Bradley concluded: "Right folks, sorry about that, for one awful second, I thought we were going to slip into a vortex of boredom via insurance."

Ross was up against Chaser Paul 'The Sinnerman' Sinha and managed to beat him to £4,000 to add to total.

Unfortunately, it was eventually all in vain, as The Chaser managed to catch the contestants with 11 seconds to go and they lost out on a potential £13,000.
