The Chase's Bradley Walsh says 'how dare you' to contestant after cheeky comment

Bradley Walsh feigned shock after a contestant issued a cheeky comment on The Chase.

Jim, Tom, Roma and Hilary all took on Anne Hegerty today in the hope of winning a large amount of cash.

Up first was Jim, who managed an impressive £8000 in the cash builder.

Tom wasn't so lucky as he was quickly eliminated by The Governess in the head to head.

It was then Roma's turn to face the Chaser.

But she got caught out by a film question.

Host Bradley Walsh asked: "In the 1937 film 'Shall We Dance', Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers tap dance together while wearing what on their feet?"

The options were A) Wellington Boots, B) Clogs or C) Roller skates.

Roma said she had seen the film, but didn't remember what the dance partners had worn.

She selected the option of 'wellington boots' while Anne opted for 'roller skates'.

Bradley was shocked that Roma didn't know the answer and turned to her fellow contestants.

He asked them if they knew the answer to which they said they didn't.

However, one contestant, Hilary said: "It was before my time."

Bradley responded: "How dare you, how very dare you", as he pretended to be insulted by the comment.

Viewers at home weren't impressed with Hilary's answer.

One tweeted: "Begone with your ‘before my time guff’! The Battle Of Hastings was before my time but I know it was 1066!"

Howard wrote: "Before my time is irrelevant."

And Laura said: "'I don't know, it was before my time' Get in the bin!"
