The Chase's Bradley Walsh mocked by Shaun for his dodgy Boris Johnson impression

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left a little red-faced on Thursday's episode after Shaun Wallace poked fun at his impression of Boris Johnson.

Bradley had just asked contestant Joy the question: "Who wrote the 2014 book The Churchill Factor?" as she took on The Dark Destroyer n order to try and bag £8,000.

"Read it!" Joy quickly replied as she selected her answer as Boris Johnson.

"It was a good book, actually!" Joy said, as Bradley congratulated her on her correct answer.

He then joked: "That's the answer we were looking for, yes," in an uncanny impression of Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

But Shaun was quick to call Bradley out for his poor impression and said: "Sounded nothing like him!"

Bradley was clearly a little embarrassed and tried to backtrack when he replied: "That was me doing Tony Blair with a mouthful of marbles!"

Johnson's book 'The Churchill Factor: How One Man Made History' delved deeper into the life of former Prime Minister Winston Churchill, including his efforts in the Second World War.

Elsewhere in the episode, Bradley scolded one of the contestants for assisting Shaun during the game.

Contestants Dominic, Joy, Chloe and Tebby were all lucky enough to make it through to the final but Bradley teased Tebby for giving the Chaser “an edge” over the team.

At one point Shaun commented: "And to get Tebby through he probably likes his football, he’s got to go."

“We don’t know that,” Bradley replied, before adding: “How do we know he likes football?”

The Dark Destroyer then said: “I don’t know he looks like a footballer to me.”

Tebby then clarified: “Yes, he’s right,” before Bradley quipped back: “Don’t give him the edge Tebby."

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
