The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left utterly stunned as player Neville shattered his fellow contestant's expectations and managed to beat Chaser Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan.
Neville had a rocky cash builder and so when it came to choosing a high offer of £40,000, his banked money of £3,000, or a low offer of £1,000, his fellow players all but begged him to take the low offer.
But Neville, with the attitude of "I am only here once", decided to go for the higher offer, meaning the stakes were raised an incredible amount as he went head to head with Jenny.
But despite some extremely tricky questions, Neville managed to beat Jenny, leaving Bradley and viewers astonished, and his teammates very happy.
Meanwhile, Neville's fellow player Kim raised some eyebrows when Bradley asked her what her husband's name was, and she hesitated before answering.
She then admitted: "I forgot it then!"
Kim also managed to beat Jenny, as Bradley exclaimed: "You did it again! You did it again! You're in the final, well done Kim.
"Skin of her teeth there."
But viewers were furious at Kim as she took the minus offer, with many wishing she had been caught so not as to drag down Neville and his winnings.
One wrote: "Neville must be well p**sed off with Kim. He chances his arm on the £40k and gets through and she slimeballs minus £5k to go through.
"She don't deserve it and I hope he digs her s**thouse move out. # TheChase ".
"After all that effort Neville made for the £40k, only for someone to take the minus offer You can tell he's not happy," ranted another.
A third remarked: "Hate these folk that try and win money off other backs and knowledge, kim should be shamed!
"Feeling sorry for Neville, all that hard work to possibly lose £5k of it. # TheChase ".
A fourth added: "Well Neville wasn’t too impressed with that after his hard work getting £40,000 couldn’t hide his expression # thechase ".
