The Chase's Bradley Walsh left gobsmacked as player sets new 'show record'

The Chase's Bradley Walsh was left gobsmacked after a player set a new 'show record' during Sunday night's (September 27) instalment of the hit ITV show.

Contestants John, Arlene, Paul and were up against Mark 'The Beast' Labbett as they battled it out against The Chaser to try and take home a substantial cash prize.

It was one contestant though that left both Bradley and The Beast stunned with her record-breaking and ever-changing advice, the Mirror Online reports.

Nursery nurse Dolores was last to face The Chaser but managed to give all of the other players conflicting advice before her time in the hot seat.

She first advised maths teacher Paul to take the high offer, with The Beast seeing an opportunity for a joke as he goaded that she'd said that so she could "save the low offer" for herself later.

Next, Dolores told retired doorman Paul to opt for the low offer so he could try and ensure he got back as they nested a strong team for the final chase.

She finally recommended third contestant Arlene take the middle offer, seeing The Beast chuckle and Bradley look bemused over her conflicting advice to all three players.

Laughing, Mark said to Bradley: "Dolores set a show record there for the quickest change of advice ever."

Host Bradley joked Dolores shouldn't play poker as her flat honesty meant she says exactly how she’s feeling.

Dolores ended up taking the low offer of £1,000 as the last player to take on The Beast.

Mark said she made the right decision to take the low offer as it didn't make much difference to the prize pot.

Dolores looked stunned to have got all of the questions right as she breezed through to the final chase with ease.

Despite her conflicting advice, The Chase fans were in love with Dolores.

One wrote on Twitter: "I’m loving Dolores #TheChase "

Another added: "Dolores is having fun #TheChase "

"Dolores is my spirit animal #TheChase," a third said.

" #TheChase Dolores is a delight," penned a fourth.

The Chase returns tonight at 5pm on ITV.
