The Chase's Bradley Walsh was left gobsmacked after one contestant started to 'flirt' with Chaser Anne Hegerty after the cash builder.
Callum, a 20-year-old business management student from Bath, built up an impressive £8,000 in the first round of the show.
Anne then offered him a choice of either £1,000, £8,000 or a whopping £36,000.
But the player admitted that he was 'hoping for a different sort of number' from The Chaser.
Bradley then asked: "What, for a higher offer?"
Callum replied: "No, maybe a phone number. But we can get that after the show, eh?"
The host was left speechless after the comment, before he added: "Listen, that is gambling."
The contestant then made a sly dig at Anne after she said driving through the countryside 'smelt of pig poo'.
"You might want to try getting out of your car then," Callum said.
Bradley and the other contestants were left in stitches over the remark, before Callum admitted: "I'm not getting close to that number, am I?"
"You're really not," Anne replied.
Viewers were also left stunned by Callum's comments, with one saying: "You dirty dog, Callum! #thechase."
Another wrote: "Callum flirting with Anne. #TheChase."
"This Callum is quite a wit!!" said a third.
"He wants Anne's phone number lol, easy Tiger" said another.
The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
