The Chase's Bradley Walsh fumes over 'stupid question' as contestant calls for new show writers

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left fuming after he didn't understand a 'stupid question' on Monday's show.

Four new contestants were welcomed to the ITV show in a bid to defeat the Chaser and win some cash.

Up second was Debbie, who was disappointed to score £3,000 in the cash builder.

But the contestant was asked a rather niche question, which both her and Bradley thought was 'stupid'.

Bradley read out the question: "When said out loud the vowels in which singer's name sound like a repeated line in Old MacDonald Had A Farm?"

The possible answers were: "Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez or Celine Dion."

But Debbie was left confused over the very random question.

After the time ran out, Bradley fumed: "What a stupid question!"

Debbie agreed: "You need a new question writer!"

The Beast then said: "I sometimes say The Chase has better questions than Mastermind... not here!"

Luckily for Debbie, Celine Dion was the correct answer.

The Beast then explained that the vowels in the name Celine Dion spell "E,I,E,I,O," like that in the popular nursery rhyme.

The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm
