The Chase's Bradley Walsh defends contestant's 'boring' decision

The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh defended one of the contestants after Chaser Anne Hegerty branded their decision "boring".

Four new players were welcomed to the show in a bid to take on the Chaser and win some cash.

Last to face The Governess was Louise, a fan of photography and cosplay, and she managed to build up a reasonable £5,000 in the cash builder.

After being offered £47,000 from the Chaser, she turned to her team mates for advice.

They each urged Louise not to go high, and instead stick with what she had earned.

Agreeing with her team, Louise said the lower offer would be "insulting", and opted for the middle offer.

But after Anne called her decision "sensible and boring", Bradley hit back at the Chaser.

He said: "I don't think it's boring at all, I think it's perfect."

Unfortunately, Louise was eliminated by Anne and didn't make it to the Final Chase.

The rest of the team were caught by Anne with just eight seconds remaining and lost out on a £13,000 jackpot.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV
