The Chase's Bradley Walsh 'brings Spice Girls back together' as viewers praise 'deliberate' players

The Spice Girls don't reunite very often but it seems The Chase host Bradley Walsh has 'brought them back together'.

Obviously, it's all a bit tongue-in-cheek as fans of the nineties girlband will have already guessed.

What we are talking about though is that the latest team of contestants featured on the ITV game show were called Victoria, Mel, Emma and Gerry.

It completely passed Bradley by until chaser Jenny Ryan pointed it out when she came out for her first or four games with the players.

"Well Brad you've done it again, you've brought the Spice Girls back together again," Jenny, dubbed 'The Vixen', told him.

"Bradley replied: "I've done it again, what is the matter with me why didn't I notice that, I didn't know, I didn't have a clue!"

Many viewers found it quite hilarious and praised the choice of players.

"@ITVChase whoever picks the contestants ha a great sense of humour. Last week we had kings and queens, this week the spice girls #TheChase," wrote one.

Another said: "Spice girls are making a come back on tonight’s #TheChase."

"Spice up your life," joked a third.

A fourth added: "Oh how they've changed #TheChase #spicegirls The producers definitely had a laugh with this line up!"

"My god Bradley wake up with the deliberate contestant name gathering! XD #TheChase Nice Spice Girls naming selection tonight," another comment read.
