The Chase's Bradley Walsh backs contestant's blunt remark to The Vixen Jenny Ryan

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was quick to show his support for a contestant on Wednesday's show as he came face-to-face with The Vixen Jenny Ryan.

Player John did not hold back as he discussed money with Jenny, 38, who is known for her straight up remarks.

As John went up against the Chaser and won £9,000, he decided to turn down Jenny's higher offer of £50k, and the chance to go home safely.

The Vixen asked him: "Not enough to tempt you?" to which John replied: "No, a hundred and odd we might have talked."

Bradley, 60, was quick to back John's response and said: "Good man."

Of course, viewers watching at home were keen to see how the game played out for John and his fellow contestants.

One person tweeted: "Big John is a lucky bloke," while another penned: "Go on the team. John and Sophie were class."

Another fan of the ITV show wrote: "What a great performance, congratulations Sue, Sophie and John."

"Finally someone whose quick to pass. well in john. mvp," added another, while some else wrote: "Congratulations Sue, John and Sophie."

"What a bloke John is," another wrote on Twitter," while someone else gushed: "Awh John is melting my heart. He’s lovely."

Bradley was left stunned during Wednesday's episode when another contestant named Nick managed to bag £10,000 in the cash-builder segment when he managed to get all 10 questions right.

Nick, who revealed he works as a project manager for chocolate brand Cadbury’s, was certainly lucky with one of the questions.

Bradley asked Nick: "The Lindt museum is home to a 9.3 metre-high fountain of what food?" and, of course, he knew the answer and replied: "Chocolate."

Bradley shot a stunned look down the camera as he tried to keep his composure to reel off the remaining questions.

And by the end of the round, 60-year-old Bradley was visibly shocked and exclaimed: "Ohhh, the Chocolate King!"

Nick was similarly stunned and said: "I can’t believe there was a question about chocolate."

"Join the club! 10, that never happens. £10,000, five figures, never happens! What a start that is for the team," Bradley added.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1.
