The Chase's Anne Hegerty left a student stunned, and Bradley Walsh unsettled, after she flirted with the contestant.
Four new players were welcomed to the show in a bid to take on the Chaser and win some cash.
Up first was 19-year-old history student Tom, who managed to get £3,000 in the cash builder.
Tom, from Derby, was tempted to take the high offer, but instead settled for playing for the £3,000.
After he managed to get through all the questions and defeat the Chaser, Anne congratulated him.
But things took a flirty turn as she told Tom: "You are ridiculously cute.
"So, yes I'm going to enjoy this."
The contestant was left blushing and speechless as host Bradley simply said: "Yuk!"
"Quick, run!" he added as Tom returned to his team mates.
Viewers were also left stunned by Anne's comment, with one saying: "Never thought I'd hear Anne call someone cute."
Another wrote: "Okay but Anne has a point Tom is cute ngl."
"Anne went all Mrs Robinson on Tom" said another fan.
The Chase continues weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
