However, things went from bad to worse for the 28-year-old beautician as she failed to answer a single question right in the cash builder.

So much so, when it came to facing Jenny in the head-to-head, the Vixen was unable to give a low offer.

But taking a gamble, Janty opted for the high offer of £40,000 - saying she was only here once.

For the majority of the round, she and Jenny were neck and neck as they both answered questions correctly.

But when Janty was three steps away from home, Jenny made a mistake as she answered a science question incorrectly.

Opening the game up, Janty successfully answered the rest of the questions correctly, winning the £40k and securing her place in the final.

An amazed Jenny told her: "You put on a great performance and I'll look forward to seeing you in the final."

Fans were stunned by Janty's epic win, with many complimenting Janty for her bravery on Twitter.

And Guy said: "That’s one of the greatest things I’ve seen in #TheChase. Fantastic Janty!!!!"

Unfortunately, Janty struggled in the final and failed to take home the £40k.

Bradley said: "It doesn't matter what happened in the final, it was thrilling what happened back there."
