The Chase player branded a 'hero' as Bradley Walsh mocks Chaser

A Chase contestant was branded a hero tonight as he made a brave move when he went up against The Chaser.

Pat, 53, chatted to host Bradley Walsh before he took on The Dark Destroyer, Shaun Wallace, who was tonight's Chaser.

Care assistant Pat from Birmingham said he enjoyed eating, drinking and DJ'ing at a local ice rink.

If he won some cash he said he wanted to pay for his mum Doreen to travel to Jamaica.

Pat managed to score a respectable £4,000 in his cash builder and was offered a high offer of £34,000.

After chatting to his team Pat said he was tempted to go high and eventually he decided to play for the whopping amount.

Following a tough head to head Pat managed to beat the Chaser and bring the cash back to his team.

And Bradley was quick to praise Pat and mock Shaun's performance as he said: "Well played mate, bring home the money, that was a different class.

"You are having a bad day at the office, what a shocker."

Shaun agreed he wasn't having the best day and said: "That's the second contestant I should of knocked out."

And viewers were also quick to praise Pat's performance.
