The Chase host Bradley Walsh stunned as he tells contestant 'I've never seen that before'

Bradley Walsh admitted he had "never seen that before" after a staggering episode of The Chase.

On the February 2 episode of the hit ITV show, Bradley was joined by four new contestants including Mahryk, a 41-year-old from Northamptonshire, and Dechlan, from Telford, Shrops.

And BirminghamLive reports that it was the former who left Bradley seriously impressed in his hunt for a huge cash prize, as he built a hefty total of £10,000.

He answered 10 correct answers during the first segment of the show, after Dechlan bagged himself £5,000 for the pot.

But Mahryk was then caught by Anne Hegerty, who goes by the nickname of the Governess, and did not get back home to be able to use his knowledge.

Instead, he was eliminated.

Bradley turned to the camera and said: "I've never seen that before, I've never seen a 10 go out without answering a question in the head-to-head, that's how tricky they've been."

The contestant responded to the former Coronation Street star and Doctor Who actor: "Yeah, keep rubbing it in, mate."

Bradley added: "I've never seen that... ever. That's a huge blow for us."

Anne said: "He was an amazingly strong player, he would have been a tremendous threat in the final chase.

"I've done myself a big favour getting rid of him."

Anne told Mahryk: "If you're not already involved in the quizzing in Northampton area, you should be."
