The Chase fans want team to lose as players labelled 'parasites'

The Chase viewers turned on tonight's team after two players made a very controversial decision.

First contestant Jo and third contestant Claire both opted for the low offer as they took on The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, who was tonight's Chaser.

Claire told host Bradley Walsh that she wanted to take her family over to Ghana where she was originally from.

She earned a respectable £4,000 in her cash builder but after chatting to her team she decided to go for the low offer and told Bradley: "I'm going for the low offer of £1,000."

The Vixen said: "They're playing team tactics, I can't tempt them with these lovely high offers."

Claire managed to get through her head to head against Jenny with ease and Jenny said: "I feel waves of regret coming from you."

But Claire said: "No I regret nothing."

Following Claire's actions viewers at home were incensed, after previously seeing Jo take the lower offer as well, and many of them said they wanted The Chaser to win instead.

Lee Matthews said: "Low offer takers just deserve to lose."

Suepsy said: "Low offer parasites!"

James said: "I hope they win the final Chase, to see the anticlimactic look on their face when they end up with £15 each."

Andy said: "Anybody who takes the lower offer on the chase may as well not apply to be on the show... Just get in the bin."

And Mace Windu said: "It must be so disheartening for the other team members when someone takes the low offer."

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV on Monday
