The Chase fans thrilled as Paul Sinha hits back after 'insult'

The Chase fans were quick to commend Paul Sinha as he hit back at a contestant during Wednesday's show.

Bradley Walsh once again welcomed four contestants to the studio for this week's third instalment of the popular ITV quiz show. June, Prathi, Joe and Stan had arrived to take on one of Britain's biggest brains in the hopes of winning some cash.

They were up against Paul Sinha, also known as the Sinnerman.

Stan was up first. He said if he won any money, he'd go to Wrestlemania. He also shared an original poem he had written on the way to London for filming.

Mr Walsh was impressed with its concluding line, which was: "If it all ends badly, at least I've met Bradley".

Stan had a great cash-builder, answering seven questions correctly. Bradley told him: "You're some player, Stan. I'll give you that". After the Chaser had been revealed, the Sinnerman offered Stan either his earned £7,000, a low offer of £1,000, or a high offer of £30,000.

When his teammates were asked what they thought he should do, Joe said the £1,000 was an "insult". Stan went for the middle offer.

Paul Sinha was quick to hit back at Joe's comments. He said: "Joe, £1,000 is not an insult. It's a lower offer, I don't know what you're expecting us to do. £16,000, is that what you wanted as a lower offer?"

Fans watching at home were clearly loving the Chaser's response. Taking to Twitter, Tom Long said: "You tell him Paul!".

John said: "So much more entertaining when Paul does the chasing", while Steph said: "Go on Paul, you tell him".

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
