The Chase fans threatened to switch over to Pointless tonight following the actions of one contestant.
Restaurant owner Ben from West Yorkshire was the second contestant to face The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, who was tonight's Chaser, after first contestant Charlotte was cruelly knocked out.
Ben, 41, chatted to host Bradley Walsh before going up against The Chaser and said he wanted to pay for a new driveway with any winnings he made on the show.
Ben scored a measly £2,000 in his cash builder and decided to go for the low offer of £1,000 after chatting to his teammates.
He said: "I was going to go for the two, but there's very little between one and two so lets go for the one."
Chaser Jenny said: "That's the right decision it gives you the best chance of getting back."
But viewers at home were not impressed, especially following yesterday's episode which saw every single player opt for the low offer.
And several viewers threatened to switch over to BBC show Pointless instead as they couldn't stand the players on the team.
Nigel Holland said: "If everyone's going to keep taking £1000 on # TheChase , I'll have to switch over to # Pointless !!!"

Despite the anger of viewers at home Ben managed to get back to his team with the £1,000 ahead of the Final Chase.
