The Chase fans stunned as languages teacher gets worst possible question wrong

The Chase fans were stunned tonight when a languages teacher got the worst possible question wrong.

Natalie, from Kent, told presenter Bradley Walsh that she was a modern languages teacher.

The 32-year-old said: "I teach modern languages. French and Spanish. In south east London."

After reaching an impressive £5,000 in the cash builder, she took on the fearsome Anne Hegerty.

Natalie managed to get a maths question correct, but got her words muddled on a question about the English language.

Host Bradley asked: "Which of these is a part of speech in the English language?"

Natalie and The Governess were given the choice of "conjunction, interdiction and proposition".

The contestant picked 'proposition', saying: "To propose something is one part of speech, so if you put proposal across, maybe.

Suddenly realising she might be wrong, Natalie added: "I think it might be conjunction."

Natalie's fears became reality as she got the answer wrong and The Chaser was correct, therefore she was sent packing.

Anne said: "The problem is the phrase ‘a part of speech’ is a technical term. It means a noun, adjective, adverb, a conduction, a pronoun a preposition or an interjection."

The Chase fans took to Twitter after watching Natalie give the wrong answer.

One viewer said: "A Teacher of languages gets an English question wrong ....., get off !!!"

"Myhahaha, language teacher gets language question wrong. Delicious failure," added another.

A third asked: "How did the languages teacher get the language question wrong !"
