The Chase fans spot big change in first episode since coronavirus pandemic

The Chase fans spotted a massive change on the show tonight as a new series started following the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this year, filming of the new series was halted as old episodes we're aired in the usual slot.

However, as restrictions started to ease over the summer, production for The Chase restarted.

Tonight, the first episode of the celebrity series aired - but fans noticed some big changes.

Comedian Dane Baptiste, rugby referee Nigel Owens, presenter Anita Rani and sports broadcaster Mark Pougatch were all on the show hoping to win big for charity.

But rather than being sat closely on stools next to each, the stars were placed one metre apart on a longer desk.

Host Bradley Walsh's podium was also placed further away from the contestants during the cash builder.

Fans immediately noticed the changes and took to Twitter to discuss.

One wrote: "At least I know that this is brand-new as the contestants are sitting 1 metre apart."

Gavin said: "They're all +1 meters apart! Looks good!"
