The Chase fans slam 'pointless' contestant in 'rubbish' team

The Chase fans took to social media in anger tonight as a contestant chose to play for a "pointless" offer.

Nat, 40, was the third player to go up against The Dark Destroyer, Shaun Wallace, who was tonight's Chaser.

The teaching assistant from Shropshire chatted to host Bradley Walsh before her meeting with Shaun and said she wanted to use her winnings to get married to her fiance Carl.

Nat struggled in her cash builder and managed to only get £1,000 to take to the table in tonight's repeat episode.

Shaun gave her the option of a low offer of £500 and after chatting to her only remaining teammate she decided to go for it.

Bradley said: "£500 is fine" and Shaun said: "I think that's a very wise decision."

But viewers at home thought it was a "pointless" decision and that she might have well played for the £1,000.

Gillian Hudson said: "What was the point of her coming on."

Liam L said: "500 quid?? What's the f*****g point??"

Scott Hopper said: "£500!!! What is f*****g point!!!"

Despite going low Nat failed to get past Shaun Wallace, like her previous teammates Chris and PJ who also went home with nothing.

Fans at home couldn't believe the standard of the team, branding them "rubbish".
