The Chase fans shocked by 'stunning' contestant and beg bosses to bring her back

The Chase fans were shocked by how 'stunning' one of its contestants was and have begged ITV bosses to bring her back on the show.

Host Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants into the spotlight yesterday and it was project manager Lynsey that got hearts fluttering.

The 33 year old from Winchester impressed Bradley with her occupation telling him she was working in Newbury where she controlled "the governance of a project for an IT company at the moment."

Lynsey added: "I really do actually enjoy my job and the people I work with, but my dream job would be to be a wedding planner."

And from the flurry of excitement her appearance caused on Twitter it looked like the viewers certainly had love in their eyes.

One begged: "Can we get Lynsey on every show, please. Regards Men of the UK!"

Another gushed: ""It is just me or is Lynsey a beautiful young lady #TheChase #GangOfChase @ITVChase."

A third posted: "TheChase Lynsey is a stunner."

While another said: ""Lynsey is a stunner - be still my beating heart #TheChase", gushed one viewer.

Lynsey won £5k in the cash builder round before defeating chaser Darragh Ennis in the head-to-head.

Her teammate Paul also made it back and rounded off the team's cash pot to a not too shabby £11,000.

Although the team only answered 16 questions correctly in the Final Chase they managed to outrun The Menace, who could only build up 11 steps.

Darragh recently paid tribute to a former contestant of the ITV show, who died last week.

He took to Twitter after the sad news of Mike Johnson's passing was shared by the official The Chase Instagram account.

Mike had appeared on The Chase and recently the spin-off series Beat The Chasers too.

The Chase's account released a statement which said: "We are deeply saddened by the news that Mike Johnson has passed away.

"A fantastic Beat the Chasers and Chase contestant, our thoughts are with Mike's family and friends at this very difficult time.

"Bradley, the Chasers and production loved meeting and spending time with Mike and making him part of the Beat The Chasers & The Chase family."

After hearing the upsetting news, Darragh posted: "Such a sad loss. A really fun and entertaining contestant."

The Chase airs on ITV weekdays at 5pm on ITV
