The Chase fans question players' profession after awkward exit

The Chase fans were left questioning the contestants' profession tonight after two of them failed to get past The Chaser.

Tonight all four contestants were teachers with Bradley expecting them to do well after introducing the team as he said: "Wow what a team, all teachers."

But the first two players failed to get past The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, who was tonight's Chaser.

Kim, 63, from Minnesota was a retired lecturer who had been in the UK for over 30 years.

Kim said she wanted to return to America if she won some cash and she managed to score £5,000 in her cash builder.

She decided to play for the £5,000 she had earned, but The Vixen was quick to beat her in the head to head.

Drama teacher James, 39, was next up to face Jenny and he also managed to score £5,000 in his cash builder.

James also went for the £5,000 saying he would spend his winnings on a trip to the Edinburgh festival, but Jenny also booted him off the show.

And viewers were quick to question if the pair were really teachers, based on their poor performance.

Mace Windu said: "The teachers are really setting a fine example so far."

Sam Farmer said: "Teachers aren’t doing well are they?"

Steven said: "Are you sure these are teachers."

And Hilary Millington said: "Oh dear... four teachers...what can go wrong."

Thankfully maths teacher Neil, who was third up managed to get back to his team with £7,000.

*The Chase continues at 5pm on ITV weekdays
