Viewers watching The Chase last night were raging after a player took the minus offer and reduced the money in the pot by £4,000.
David battled Paul "the Sinnerman" Sinha and accumulated £5,000 in his cash builder round.
The chaser then offered him a high offer of £62,000, and a low offer of minus £4,000, and David took the minus offer.
This reduced the money in the pot from £18,000 to £14,000 - and viewers, and David' team - were furious.

They took to Twitter to rant about David's choice.
“Taking a negative amount on The Chase is 100% scumbag behaviour," wrote one.
“If I was on a team with such a person, I'd throw the game to prevent them getting any money.”
Another wrote: “Ah I liked him until he took the minus! T****r.”
“What's stressing me out more than the #coronavirus is the guy who just took a minus offer on The Chase”," claimed a third.

Another viewer commented: “When you put 9 grand into the pot and this w****r takes 4 out of it!”
The Chaser Paul discussed afterwards the "rules" around taking a minus offer, emphasising that there is no "golden rule".
He said: “David’s a good player, he knows he’s a good player because he’s happy to smugly recite the chemical name of sugar.”
But then he added: “I don’t think there was any need to take the low offer.
In the final chase, the team of four got 15 correct answers.
David failed to answer any questions correctly, so viewers were even more frustrated at him.
One tweeted: "Took the minus offer and didn’t even bother to answer anything in the final chase.”
Another added: “Hahahahaha and he had the cheek to just stand there looking half-dead. Pressed once and got it wrong.... MATEEEEEE HAHAHAHAHA”
The team were caught with 39 seconds to spare.
