The Chase fans frustrated as they miss chunks of show due to major technical issues

The Chase viewers were left frustrated during the latest episode as major technical issues apparently interrupted the programme.

It's unclear what the source of the problem was, but viewers watching on Sky and Virgin Media claimed their services had crashed thanks to the wet weather.

It meant fans who were watching sadly missed out on chunks of the show, they claimed on Twitter.

They took to the social media platform to share their anger at missing out on their favourite evening watch.

One wrote: "Bloody hell Sky! #TheChase"

As a second shared: "Sky dish has gone! Mother f**kin weather!! #TheChase"

"Not getting a satellite signal anymore. Why did they have to turn off the analog signal!" a third furious viewer tweeted.

A fourth penned: "@ITV your channel is not working properly during @ITVChase."

Some were feeling hopeful that the issue would be sorted quickly, so they didn't miss out on any quizzing action - despite the episode being a repeat.

One eager viewer shared: "Dear @SkyHelpTeam your signal's down the swanny! Please fix as I don't want to miss any of the #TheChase."

Bradley Walsh was hosting the repeat as usual (ITV)

And another quipped: "Not just Sky, Virgin's signal keeps freezing too, s***ty thing."

However the problem was fixed just before the show ended, as fans were able to watch contestants Mandy and Nicholas compete against The Dark Destroyer Shaun Wallace.

The pair were the only two to make it through to the final chase.

And viewers were pleased to see Mandy bag the high offer of £56,000, which meant the couple were playing for a grand total of £60k in the final chase.

But Shaun went on to win the show when his opponents only managed to answer nine questions correctly.
