The Chase fans 'don't recognise' Mark Labbett after weight loss

The Chase fans "didn't recognise" Mark Labbett after he shared a snap of himself on social media on Saturday.

The Chaser, also known as The Beast, is currently starring in a pantomime in Northwich. He shared a photo of himself with his secret Santa present, adding: "I suspect [this was] Richard Osman", as the gift was a Pointless board game.

In recent years, Mark has lost a considerable amount of weight, having been 29 stone at his heaviest. And after his recent snap, fans have commented on how different he looks.

Replying to his tweet, Gemma said: "Bloody hell, actually didn't think that was you!", while Carlo said: "Didn't recognise you, really smashed that weight loss". Zoe said: "You look absolutely amazing".

In a Loose Women appearance earlier this year, Mark shared how he shed the pounds. He said: "The diabetes medication helps because I eat much less.

"I drink fluids a lot more than I used to. Looking after a 5-year-old in lockdown really didn't help as well. It was lovely. My wife was working as a nurse at the time so she was doing her bit.

"And my bit was to look after him, but the number of times I collapsed in a heap. I'm so busy these days."
