The Chase fans distracted by unexpected feature

Fans of ITV's The Chase were left distracted while watching tonight's show.

They were watching players Bill, Carla, Si and Moss go up against Chaser, Darragh Ennis, also known as The Menace.

But while watching the show they took to Twitter to mention something else that they had noticed.

Lots of viewers commented on the fact that ITV were showing a number of Christmas ads in November.

Ryan said: "3 Xmas ads in a row OMG #TheChase."

Suze said: "Blimey doesn't seem two minutes ago, all the ads were Xmas ones #TheChase."

Another user said: "Me whenever a Christmas ad is shown in November #TheChase" as they shared a gif of someone using a remote to switch off.

Only three players, Moss, Si and Carla make it through to the final round against The Chaser.

Bill played first taking a generous £5,000 back to the prize pot.

Carla, a secondary school drama teacher, played next and fans fumed as she went for the lower offer of £500.

Despite agreeing to play for the lesser amount, she still managed to make it back to the bench, although not adding a lot to the prize fund.

Next up was Prison officer, Si. He planned to visit cherry blossom in Japan with his wife Joanne, with any winnings from the show.

Si went for middle offer of £3,000 but was sadly caught by The Menace and had to wave bye-bye to his travel dreams.

Finally, Marine Captain Moss played last. Fans thought he was easy on the eye and enjoyed watching him as he successfully added a further £4,000 to the jackpot, meaning that the total that the team were playing for in the final was brought up to £9,500.

But playing it safe still wasn't enough as Darragh managed to catch them in the final round and the whole team sadly went home empty handed.

*The Chase is on ITV on weekdays at 5pm
