The Chase fans thought they'd tuned into a celebrity version of the show as a contestant bore a striking resemblance to a comedian.
Law student Jack, 23, chatted to host Bradley Walsh before he took on The Dark Destroyer, Shaun Wallace, who was tonight's Chaser.
Jack, from Burnley, said he was studying to be a barrister but in his spare time liked to go running and go out for meals.
If he won some cash he said he wanted to travel around South America specifically Peru and Chile.
Jack managed to get £2,000 in his cash builder and as he went up against Shaun he said to him: "You might not need lessons in law but you're going to get one in quizzing."
But viewers couldn't believe Jack's resemblance to comedian Joe Lycett, with many of them taking to social media to comment on it.
Mark said: "Is that Joe Lycett??"
Danny Kenworthy said: "Jack looks like the love child of joe lycett and george ezra."

Jack managed to get back to his team with the £2,000 with Shaun congratulating him and saying: "Well done, the apprentice beat the master."
