The Chase fans can compete against the Chasers from home in special lockdown edition

The Chase fans have been given a gift to lift the lockdown blues.

For the next couple of weeks, the hit quiz show will be airing an online lockdown edition, in which fans are asked 10 questions by the Chasers themselves.

That means fans can head to YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, and have questions put to them by Jenny "The Vixen" Ryan, Paul "The Sinnerman" Sinha, Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace, Mark "The Beast" Labbett, or Anne "The Governess" Hegerty.

Released at 6pm, the episodes last 15 minutes, with Jenny currently on question-posing duty.

Next week, Shaun will be the one to beat.

Production on The Chase was hit the same as most TV shows by the coronavirus crisis, with ITV currently airing repeats of old episodes to give fans their daily dose.

Plus there's the new Beat the Chasers format, which airs later in the night - host Bradley Walsh recently admitted that if they hadn't filmed that show pre-lockdown, they'd have no new material for fans.

He previously told TV Mag : "We stopped filming The Chase back in February, so I would say at the moment we're about 100 shows behind schedule, which we'll need to make up.

"I've got absolutely no idea what is going to happen.

"We can't say we'll be back to work in a month, eight weeks - no one knows."

Meanwhile, Brad's been plugging Beat The Chasers on his Insta as the country remains in lockdown.

"You've got to stay in," he said, "So you may as well watch Beat The Chasers.

"It's a real treat, it's so different from the daytime show. You're gonna love it!

"Can anyone beat all the Chasers?

"Just you watch! Lots of love, see you soon."

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
