The Chase: Emmerdale Anthony Quinlan's transformation and romance with Corrie star

Anthony Quinlan is regarded as an Emmerdale legend.

The soap star arrived on the ITV show as Pete Barton in 2013. He endured a dramatic period in the Yorkshire Dales as he served time in prison and was involved in a fiery romance with Debbie Dingle.

The character eventually quit the show in 2019 and was last seen driving to Liverpool to be reunited his brother, Ross. Away from the fictional Yorkshire village, Anthony fortunately enjoys a less dramatic life than his onscreen counterpart.

The 37-year-old first shot to stardom in 2005 as Gilly Roach in Hollyoaks. He is set to appear on today's special Emmerdale edition of the Chase, but the actor has now left behind the world of showbiz.

Anthony has since become a personal trainer and regularly shows off his ripped transformation on Instagram as he shares snaps with his 152k followers.

Anthony's love life has regularly hit the headlines as he was involved in a relationship with Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell. However, the two split in 2018 as he told the Daily Star: "We're still really good friends - it's just distance played a part. There were all these rumours about the Strictly curse but it wasn't that."

Anthony is now in a happy relationship with Nikki Sanderson, who is renowned for her performance as Candice Stowe on Coronation Street. The two started dating this year and regularly share loved up snaps on Instagram as they recently enjoyed a holiday to Cannes.
